D:  My professor recommended it.
      教授一个推荐决定了你的命运，教授为什么推荐，推荐这个学校的什么方面，那自己又是怎么认识的，难道说自己没有做任何判断，单凭教授一个推荐就选择了这个学校么？
VO: How many universities have you applied?
D:  In the US, only this school. But I also applied one in the UK.
      美国难道就只认可这一所学校么？正常中国学生都会选择很多所，为什么你只申请一所，而且又不是名校！如果想借助申请英国学校的情况来帮你解释你不是因为去美国而去美国的话，这种引入方法并不理想！
VO: Which university have you applied in the UK?
D:  ×× University，UK.
      从开始到这里，挤牙膏式的问答方式仍然进行，缺乏一种主动交流，主动提供有效信息的积极性！
VO: Do they give scholarship?
D:  No, Sir.  In fact, they asked me to pay the deposit money first, and then I could apply for the scholarship.
VO: It’s interesting. How much do you need pay your study in London ×× University?

      从费用方面可能VO做了一个对比，英国学校的费用比美国学校低啊，而且可能这所英国某大学给VO印象应该比加州的这个学校好。
VO: Why do you choose ××× School in US instead of ×× University in UK?
      非常具体和尖锐的问题，选择的理由！
D:  The ×× University in UK only has the MA in applied translation. I would prefer conference interpretation and ××× School in California is one of the best universities in this field in the world, so I choose this school.
      你知道英国某大只有MA in applied translation，为什么还要申请，是不是想瞒天过海啊！！！美国还有更多更好的学校，也没有选择。
VO: Do you have scholarship?
D:  Yes, I have. I have the letter here. (奖学金的书面材料给他看)
VO: Do you know this school is very expensive? How do you cover the rest of the cost?
      这里开始谈到资金问题，在以上的回答情况我们不难看出，VO此时并不不能很好的的判断你是否有必要去美国学习，而且通过对比，伦敦某大的费用方面可能还很便宜，因此已经有了一定的想法！
D:  Yes. But I have prepared enough money for my study. The funds are from my parents and myself.
VO: Do you have the bank statements?
D:  Yes. Here you are. (递上了51万的银行存款证明，以及银行存单、存折的复印件)
VO: What do your parents do?
D:  My father is a Manager and my mother is a nurse.
      什么样的经理，什么样的护士，他们的工作内容情况与这笔资金的来源和对今后家里的经济压力有着非常重要的说明！只简单的回答有些不妥！
VO: Are they still working?
D:  No. They have retired. But my father is now working as an expert in another company.

      既然父亲仍然工作那为什么还要强调退休，VO的问题是他们是否还在工作，这里我觉得可能笔者对VO的问题没有理解！美国人理解的retired指的是实际意义上的不工作了，安享晚年。
